I have worked in some capacity of behavioral health services for 12 years, helping people uncover their internal strength and find their authentic selves. I am a CA licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and specialize in treatment of trauma and addictions. I approach problems from an attachment-based perspective and utilize EMDR and ACT modalities to find solutions to what is causing you trouble. While my specialties are trauma focused, I see individuals, adolescents, and couples facing a variety of challenges. My goal is to provide a secure place where you can discover your awesomeness. Using openness, curiosity, and humor, I will be right by your side as you work through the difficulties of the past. Trauma, addiction, relationship/attachment difficulties, and the emotional pain you're experiencing will begin to resolve as you are not just accepted but actually celebrated for all that you are!

I work with adults (mostly 18-55) who are struggling to find who they are and their place in the world. Although I specialize in trauma and addiction, it is not a requirement. Most of my clients have experienced attachment difficulties due to caregivers who were neglectful, abusive, and/or immature. The clients who are the best fit for me

Most of my clients have experienced attachment difficulties due to caregivers who were neglectful, abusive, and/or immature. The clients who are the best fit for me tend to be people who are looking to explore the broader social and political issues that influence their current situation

I believe therapy is political and it is virtually impossible for individuals to thrive without considering the broader societal issues that influence daily life. I also believe appropriate use of humor can be highly therapeutic and it is common to laugh and cry in a single session. I have worked with clients who are deconstructing religious and/or conservitive beliefs and this has been some of the most rewarding work. I love horror and all things that are weird. I enjoy spending time with my husband, children (ages 20 and 11), and pets. I loudly support social justice movements and decompress by spending time alone, preferably in nature.
